Students in the first through fifth grades at Sugar Hill Elementary come to music class. The children are actively involved in creating their own music, singing, playing instruments, moving to music, and reading music. The Gwinnett County Academic Knowledge and Skills are the basis for instruction. In addition to music instruction, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science are regularly integrated into music lessons.

The students of Sugar Hill Elementary want to say "THANK YOU!!" to our wonderful PTA! Due to the support of the Sugar Hill PTA, the students now have more xylophones, glockenspiels, bass bars, and tubano drums to play. The PTA has also generously purchased a portable sound system that will make the students sound even better when they perform. Sugar Hill Elementary parents are the best!
